Zane David Howard Dancer, 19, of Charleston unexpectedly met his journey’s end on February 26, 2020.
Born on June 09, 2000, in Richmond, VA, Zane was the son of Laurie Gensert and Heather Dancer.
Zane graduated High School in June of 2019 and was proud to be a team member at Sonic for the past year. Zane enjoyed birdwatching, mythology, anime, Pokémon, Magic the Gathering, D&D, Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Jurassic Park, and all things in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, with an emphasis on Newt Scamander.
Zane was artistic, extremely creative, and had the most vivid & wild imagination. His heart was as tall as he was and his generosity just as big. Once his friend, always his friend, and he deeply loved his friends.
Zane is survived by his parents, Laurie and Heather, his sisters LuLynn Dancer and Kathryn Dancer, both of the home, and siblings Autumn Disse and Marcus Disse whom reside in Virginia. He also leaves behind many beloved Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and friends. He was proceeded in death by both sets of his grandparents Howard & Helen Dancer and Howard & Rita Gensert, his Aunts Terry Lynn Miller & Lu Anne Metheny, and his Uncles Gary Gensert and Jimmy David Fee, JR.
His family & friends celebrated his life Thursday, March 5, 2020, at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation West Ashley.
