Col. William Taylor Lanham (USAF Ret.), 89, of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was born on Monday, May 31, 1926 in Auburn, IL to the late Mrs. Josie Lanham and the late Mr. John Lanham. Col. William served over two years in the US Navy, attended ROTC at the University of Georgia, and then joined the USAF. He served over 27 years in the USAF specializing as a system analyst, and retired as a Colonel. William was an avid golfer in his younger years, liked to read and keep up with current events. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Caroline Lanham, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his daughter, Connie T. Unthank (Glenn), of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two nieces, Sheri and Karen; two grandchildren, Jay and Caroline; four great grandchildren, Taylor, Thomas, Lauren and Callie; and many loving friends. A Graveside Service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 at 12:00 PM.
