William Ray Dedman

William “Bill” Dedman died peacefully in Charleston, SC on November 29th at the age of 71. Bill is survived by his children, Kelli Toney, Rick Alger, Steve Alger, Norman Alger, and Justin Schmitz; 4 nieces, 9 nephews, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Dedman and daughter Lauri Schmitz. Bill was born on September 29, 1947 in City of Batavia, New York to Florence Jeanette Johnson and Mark Dedman. Bill was so in love with his wife, Beverly, and proud of their family. He was a very intelligent man who took pride in his work for SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic and the CUDIXS and NAVMACS programs in support of the DoD, US Navy, and US Government. A memorial is scheduled for Sunday, December 2nd at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home at 11:00am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bill's life.
