William "Lloyd" Edwards

William "Lloyd" Edwards, 77, of James Island, South Carolina, passed away on December 9, 2018.
He was born on February 17, 1941 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Mildred Senseney and Thomas Edwards. He graduated from Rivers High School.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Amy Edwards of James Island, South Carolina; sisters-in-law: Leah C. Walsh and Eunice C. Banks; brothers-in-law: Rudy Cantey, David Cantey, and Daniel Cantey (Agnes); mother-in-law, Ollie Cantey and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lloyd retired from the Naval Shipyard. He was a life member of the Charleston Rifle Club, a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion Post 147.
Lloyd loved traveling on cruises to many beautiful places with Amy and their best friends. He loved to dance and enjoyed playing golf on Fridays with his golf buddies.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at McAlister- Smith Funeral and Cremation, James Island.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on December 13, 2018 at McAlister- Smith Funeral and Cremation, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, South Carolina 29412. The burial will follow the service at Bethany Cemetery, 10 Cunnington Avenue, Charleston, South Carolina 29405.
