William Mack King, Jr., 79, born on May 14, 1940 in Anderson, SC, entered into rest on Saturday, June 29, 2019.
He was the son of Bessie Irene Broome and William Mack King, Sr. Mr. King started in the grocery business at the age of 14. He advanced through the years with BiLo as a store manager and other positions.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Hatchell King; son, Bradley Darren King (Rhonda); daughter, Wendy M. Adkins (Kyle); step-daughters, Marian Crawford (Stephen) and Glenda Eileen Smith; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Smith; 7 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 13 step great grandchildren.
Mr. King is preceded in death by his son, William Mack King, III and step-son, Gene Allen Smith.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 1:00-2:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek. A funeral service will immediately follow from 2:00-3:00pm in the same location. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens in Moncks Corner, SC.
