William Henry Kahrs, 66, of Goose Creek, died January 16, 2015. Born in Charleston, he was the son of the late William Andrew Kahrs and Jennie Lyon Kahrs and husband to Cathy (Ashima) Kahrs. Henry graduated from North Charleston High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Dallas. He was a Quality Engineer with Lincoln Electric in Ladson and was the owner of KTTI. Henry loved playing golf, Clemson football and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of forty four years, Cathy (Ashima) Kahrs; son, Ben Kahrs and wife Valerie of Houston, TX; daughter, Jennifer Kahrs of Hudson, NY. Henry is also survived by his two grandsons, Jack and Gavin Kahrs; niece, Cheryl Guy; nephew, Steve Jenkins. Henry was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Marion Jenkins. A celebration of Henry’s life will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite children’s charity.
