Wilber Davis Marsh, Sr., 87, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on January 26, 2019. He was born on April 16, 1931 in Hemmingway, South Carolina, son of Arrie Williams and Daniel Marsh.
Wilber was preceded in death by his wife Jackie Dempsey Marsh.
He is survived by his children, Mary (Ed) Gonsalves, Gwen (Thomas) Brunson, Davy Marsh and of Goose Creek, South Carolina; Will Marsh of Moncks Corner, SC; Grandchildren: Carla, Jason, Alicia, Ashley, Britnee, Amber and nine Great Grandchildren: Baylee, Ava, Annbelle, Ryker, Tristan, Ethan, Kara, Braeden, Arrie.
Wilber was an employee of MUSC for 21 years in the maintenance department. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was also an avid fisherman known and loved by many. Wilber was well known by the community as an excellent painter.
The family will receive friends on January 28, 2019 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Heritage Holiness Church, 3836 Ladson Road, Ladson, SC 29456.
A funeral service will be held at Heritage Holiness Church on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11:00am with burial to follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens.
