Wanda Mae Dye

November 8, 1924 — September 27, 2015

Wanda Mae Dye, 90, of Moncks Corner, passed away September 27, 2015. She was born in Walton, WV to the late Nathan and Orpha Jackson. Ms. Wanda was an educator for 30 years and taught first grade at Pinch, WV. She enjoyed reading Christian novels and being feisty! She was a member of Eastern Star and Peace Presbyterian Church. Her family will remember her as being a Nanny, Mother, Helper, West Virginian, and most of all a “Jackson”. She is survived by her children, Charles A. Dye and his wife Tami Dye of Loganville, GA and Sharon A. Hayes and her husband Jim Hayes of Moncks Corner; grandchildren, Dr. Shelley Matthews, Jessica Bridges, Matthew Dye, Jonathan Dye and Nicole Larson; and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Rex Dye. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Peace Presbyterian Church in Goose Creek. The family receives friends on e hour prior. Memorial may be made to Peace Presbyterian Church, 174 Londonderry Rd, Goose Creek, SC 29445. Arrangements entrusted to McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 869 ST. JAMES AVENUE, GOOSE CREEK, SC 29445.
