Walter W. Wingfield Jr.

Walter W. Wingfield Jr., 81, of Goose Creek, SC entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2020. He was born on April 23, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to the late Walter W. Wingfield Sr. of Athens, GA and Lucille M. Wingfield of Greensboro, GA.
Mr. Wingfield was known to his friends as Bill. He served in the United States Navy for 24 years, including tours overseas. His favorite pastime during his retirement was meeting with his friends every Saturday over breakfast.
Walter was preceded in death by his son, Mark Wingfield and sister, Joyce Wingfield.
Walter is survived by his children, Steve Wingfield and Donna Veara; his beloved cat, Scooter; as well as 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 10, 2020, from 10:00-11:00 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek, SC. The service will follow in the same location from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM with entombment at Plantation Memorial Gardens in Moncks Corner, SC.
