Walter Anthony " Walt " Dauglash

Walter "Walt" Anthony Dauglash, 57, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, husband to Corrie Dauglash (Scharrenberg), entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. 

Born on July 25, 1963 in Manilla, Philipines, he was raised in California. Walter was a son of the late William Dauglash and Virginia Dauglash. 

Walt graduated with a degree in Environmental and Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene from the University of California, Northridge  and worked as an accomplished Health & Safety Professional.  He enjoyed maintaining his Health & Physical Fitness, Mixed Martial Arts, “Tinkering” at his workbench, the beach and good times with family and friends; especially dates dancing with his lovely wife.

In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by Brittany Dauglash  of Castaic, CA. Sawyer and Molly of Mount Pleasant, SC. He leaves behind a sister, Marilou Dauglash; nephew, Michael Murphy and an older brother, Willie Dauglash, all residing in California.  He is survived by lifelong besties, Rob Claus of New York and Mike Kuwahara of Hawaii.  

Walt has a larger than life presence and would light up a room with a grand smile and warm heart. His kind soul touched so many, not included above, who will feel his absence and pray for him to find peace and his place in the Heavenly Kingdom. Walt was a protector in life and we can find comfort in knowing he will be watching over us with amazing grace.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 30th at 4:00 P.M. at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.  A memorial service will follow at the funeral home and a social gathering to celebrate Walt will be held at Henry's on the Market, 54 North Market Street in Charleston, directly following the Memorial service.
