Vincent Joseph Comery

Vincent Joseph Comery, 92 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024. 

Born on September 9, 1931 in Staten Island, NY he was the son of the late Edward and Catherine (Kelly) Comery. 

Vincent was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was beloved by his family. He was married to his wife Carol for 41 years before her untimely passing in 2002. Vince was very kind, caring and generous. He was a great support to his daughter, and they enjoyed a very loving relationship that was also filled with much admiration and appreciation. He was known for sharing his interesting stories and love of cars with his grandson. Everyone loved his great sense of humor. He cared deeply for his family and dogs. He had a very close and special bond with both his daughter and grandson. He will be missed greatly. 

Vincent is preceded in death by his wife Carol (O’Connor) Comery; parents, Edward and Catherine Comery; and brothers Edward Comery and George Comery.

Vincent is survived by his daughter, Erin Elizabeth Comery Poretto and grandson, Aidan Shane Poretto. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am on Friday, July 19, 2024, at St. Benedict's, 950, Darrell Creek Trail, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466. The family will hold a luncheon/reception following the Mass at St. Benedicts's at 12:00pm. All are welcome.

Burial will be at 2:00pm at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 238 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29465.
