Victor Mangundayao Harina

April 12, 1944 — May 7, 2014

Victor M. Harina, 70, of Ladson, passed away May 7, 2014. Born in Balagbag, Dita, Philippines, he was the son of the late Dominador and Julia M. Harina and husband to Ditma S. Harina. Mr. Harina joined the United States Navy and served his country for twenty two years, retiring as a Chief. After his military service he worked as a government contractor handling supplies. He was a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church and The Filipino Community Center. Mr. Harina is survived by his wife of twenty seven years, Ditma Harina; son, Vince Troy Harina of Oregon; sister, Maria Tulale and husband Boy of Philippines; nephew, Allen S. Harina and wife Angie of Las Vegas, NV and their children, Alyanna Christine Harina, Allen Angelo Harina and Allen Franko Harina; brother, Jose Harina and wife Lani of Philippines and their son, Prince Harina. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Avenue, Summerville. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 869 St. James Avenue. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy can be viewed or submitted online at www.mcalister-smith.com.
