Vice Admiral Albert Joseph Baciocco Jr.

Vice Admiral Albert Joseph Baciocco Jr., U.S. Navy (Ret.), of Mt. Pleasant, SC died on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the age of 84. He was born on Wednesday, March 4, 1931 in San Francisco, CA to the late Mrs. Florence Beatrice Wiegner and the late Mr. Albert Joseph Baciocco, Sr.. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Jane Baciocco, of Mount Pleasant, SC, and their four children; David Baciocco, of Burke, VA, and Andy Baciocco, of Fredericksburg, VA; Debi Baciocco, of Santa Fe, NM, and Susan Baciocco Hecht, of Cary, NC, as well as their nine grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 13th, 2015, 10:00am at Stella Maris Catholic Church, 1204 Middle St., Sullivans Island, SC 29482 at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Msgr. Lawrence B. McInerny, J.C.L. officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 11:30 AM for Vice Admiral Baciocco in the United States Naval Academy Cemetery, 121 Blake Rd, Annapolis, MD 21402. In lieu of flowers, the Baciocco family requests that memorial donations be made in their father's honor to Mercy Home (www.mercyhome.org), a charity that was important to both parents. The family will continue to use the McAlister-Smith Funeral Home website to disseminate information updates, as well as information regarding Admiral Baciocco's burial at the U. S.
