Tony Adams

Claude "Tony" Morton Adams Jr., 79 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022.

Born on March 5, 1943, in Alexandria, LA was a son of the late Ruth Adams (Myrick) and Claude Adams.

Tony is preceded in death by his son Scott Dovel Adams and brother, Steve Adams.

Tony is survived by Frankie Adams, Spouse; daughters Betty McKenzie, Laura Simpson; son-in-law, John Simpson; daughter-in-law, Heather Adams Buyajian; grandchildren, Brett Simpson (Josie), Mitchell McKenzie (Katie), Caitlin Simpson, Alison Simpson, Samantha Adams and adopted with love, Craig Buyajian, Sr., Craig Buyajian, Jr., and Jake Buyajian.

Tony is a lifelong member of the Lions Club, Lion of the Year and Lion of the Decade, rewarded a Melvin Jones Fellows, Board of Directors of the Tennessee Eye Bank at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.  Tony was a lifelong musician and enjoyed playing many instruments, especially the guitar and piano. He and his daughter Laura played with the Tennessee Symphonic Orchestra with the Gary McSpadden Concert. He also enjoyed golfing and hunting.  Tony's family was the center of his life.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July, 15, 2022, from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
