With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Tomislav (Tomas, Toma) Stiglic, 83, of Charleston, SC on October 26, 2023 after a brief illness.
Toma grew up in former Yugoslavia prior to starting a 30-year career at MUSC's Cardiology Department, followed by a long and joyful retirement.
Toma played many sports, with tennis and soccer being his favorites, and was high school chess champion. He enjoyed traveling, watching sports, his favorite club SK Partizan, listening to music, and cooking. Most of all, he loved all people and spending time with family and friends.
Toma will be remembered and forever loved by his wife of 52 years Seka, son Thomas-Misha, grandson Alexander, sister Nina (Joe), nephew Sean (Mandy), sister-in-law Lila, brother-in-law Dragan (Caca), niece Bojana (Ricky), nieces Andjelka, Gaga and Iva and their families, and other family and friends.
We will miss his company, conversations, curiosity, optimism, delicious food, his generous heart, and kindness. He will be in our hearts and loved forever.
