Tolly Cleveland Allison (Al), 89, of Goose Creek, SC entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
Born on November 08,1931 in Greenville, SC, Tolly was the only son of the late Ernest and Estelle Smith Allison.
Tolly graduated from high school in 1949 and joined the Army, where he spent the next 22 years. He served in France, Germany and many duty stations in several states, including Fairbanks, Alaska and West Point Military Academy in New York. He did combat duty in Korea where he was seriously injured and fought in the Vietnam war as well. He received many decorations including three Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He retired from the Army in 1971 in Fort Hamilton, NY. He worked in NY for the next 8 years before moving to Goose Creek, SC in 1979. He worked at Medical University of SC for 3 years. He retired from the US Postal Service in 1997 after 12 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife Ann and youngest daughter Sandra of Goose Creek, SC. His son Tony (Angela) of Redmond, WA, son Tim and daughter Colleen of Moses Lake, WA. Grandsons, Timothy, Bradley and Noah Allison and Anthony Brown, also many cousins and relatives. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his infant daughter Lisa Marie in 1985 and daughter Teena Barth in 2019.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Chapel, 869 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445.

The funeral service will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Chapel, Goose Creek, SC. The burial will Military Honors will follow the service at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner, SC.
