Thomas Kent Reynolds, 75, of Mount. Pleasant, SC and husband to Eleanor Reynolds, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 surrounded by his family. Born on Saturday, September 13, 1941, in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late John F Reynolds Sr. and the late Bertha Shaack Reynolds. “Chief Tom†retired after 44 years as Assistant Fire Chief of the Charleston Fire Department. He was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church and the Pinochle Club and enjoyed his fellowship with the American Legion Post 147 on James Island. Kenny was an avid wood worker and enjoyed spending time in his work shop. His greatest love was his family and will always be remembered as ‘Best Pop In The World’. Besides his wife of 56 years, Kenny is survived by a daughter, Tracy R Jones (Ricky); a son, Thomas (Bubba) K. Reynolds, Jr. (Bobbi) all of Mt. Pleasant, SC and a brother, Jack Reynolds; five grandsons, Trey, Jesse, Thomas, Trevor and Calder. Besides his parents, Kenny was predeceased by a brother, Craig Reynolds and a sister, Francis Reynolds. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1122 Russell Dr., Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. The Rite of Committal will immediately follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends from 5pm – 7pm Monday, January 16, 2017 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Chapel. A Prayer Vigil will be at 6pm.
