Thomas “Dillon” Smith, 20, of Bamberg, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Dillon Smith was born on September 12, 1995, in Bamberg, South Carolina, to Dwayne Smith and Dondra Canady Gardner. He was an equipment operator for Santee Modular Homes, Inc. He previously worked with Key West Boats. Dillon is survived by his daughter, Rylee Ann Hudgins; his mother, Dondra Canady Gardner (Chuck) of Bamberg; his father, Randy Dwayne Smith (Candy) of Summerville; a brother, John Cody Burns; a sister, Georgia Smith; step-brother, Dalton Gardner; step-sister, Lacey Akins; paternal grandparents, Linda and E. O. Duffie, Jr.; paternal great-grandmother, Shirley Smith; maternal grandparents, Dianne and Ralph Morrell; paternal step-grandparents, Marlene and Tom Akins and paternal step-great-grandfather, Bob Richardson. Memorial contributions may be made to Dillon Smith Memorial Fund A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015, from 10:00am to 11:00am, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11:00am, also at the chapel. Following the services, you can meet with the family until 3:00 p.m. at Tommy and Marlene's picnic parlor at 1009 Clemson Dr., Summerville. Coffee and tea will be provided. Many have asked if they could bring food; it would be welcome at the pavilion to share. Expressions of sympathy may be viewed or submitted online at www.McAlister-Smith.com.
