Susan O'Dell Lyons

Susan O'Dell Lyons, 50, of Isle of Palms, SC entered into eternal rest on June 26, 2020, surrounded by family and friends.

Born on September 8, 1969 in Columbia, SC Susan was a daughter of Albert P. Lyons, III and the late Barbara O'Dell Lyons.

Susan, was a lawyer with an International law firm. She taught law at Charlotte School of Law and the University of South Carolina Law School. She was a member of the Lupus Foundation, where she did a lot of charitable work, and danced in ballroom dance competitions, which she very much enjoyed.

Susan is survived by her father, Albert P. Lyons, III, her grandmother Mildred McDuffie Lyons both of Hendersonville, NC; her brother Albert P. (Scott) Lyons IV, Sister in Law Jennifer L. Lyons, her niece Madison A. (Alex) Lyons, all of Lexington, SC; three uncles and aunts Robert McGee and Susan Lyons, Kenneth and Nancy Lyons, David C. O'Dell and Margaret S. O'Dell, and her partner, Larry C. Summers of Isle of Palms, SC.

There will be a memorial service at the United Methodist Church in Etowah, NC in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Susan`s memory may be sent to the Lupus Foundation and Charlie's Angels Animal Rescue in Arden, NC.
