Stephen Tillson Dunlap

Stephen Tillson Dunlap, 85, of Ladson, SC, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024.

Born on December 8, 1938, in Plymouth, MA, Stephen was the son of the late Sybil Cone Dunlap and the late Henry Dunlap.

Big Pa, as he was affectionately known to his family, was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus where he formed lifelong friendships. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at weekly happy hour or out on the golf course. His favorite form of travel was by cruise ship where he could often be found in the Cigar Bar. As the patriarch of the family, all holidays were brought to him. The memories formed around the kitchen table will last a lifetime.

In addition to his parents, Stephen is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Dunlap; grandson, Cory Harville; son, Patrick (Tina) Dunlap; and brother, Keith Dunlap.

Stephen is survived by his sister, Marylyn Colburn; his daughter, Ann Harville; sons: Stephen (Michelle), Michael, and Edward (Tina); grandchildren: Cassandra Wigfall, Randall (Riley) Harville, Pat (Brooke), Jessica (Josh), Theresa, Stephen (Taylor), Marlee (John) Jamerson, Dayspring, Falcone, Annie, Dupree, Timothy (Kayli), Christopher (Samantha), Rachel (Matthew) Glasscock, and Jacob Fletcher; and many great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 22, 2024, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville. Burial will be at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens in Moncks Corner, SC at 1:00 pm. Immediately following, the family will be receiving guests at the home of Randall and Riley Harville located at 612 Spanish Wells Rd, Summerville, SC 29483.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Charitable Fund www.knightscharitable.org.
