Stephen A. Keene, 70, of Hanahan, South Carolina, passed away on March 10th, 2019. He was born on December 18th, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana, son of Eva (Freeland) Keene and James Keene, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ginger Keene, daughter Shelley (Tommy) Priester, daughter Shondra Keene; grandchildren Taylor Priester, Kaden Rudofski, Brittany Priester, Kamri Rudofski, and Trey Priester, great-grandchild Tucker Priester; sister Linda (Jay) Gregson, brother Larry (Wanda Carpenter) Keene, brother Kenneth (Nancy) Keene, as well as two nieces and three nephews.
Steve loved singing, being a coach, playing softball, bowling, and playing cards and games with his family. He was very involved with his grandchildren in attending and supporting their various activities.
For 30 years Steve owned his own trucking company as an owner/operator driving a semi over the road from coast to coast. Before that, he worked in the building supply industry in management and sales. In recent years he had returned to the building supply industry working in pro sales at Lowe's West Ashley.
The family will be at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek, South Carolina, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20th, 2019, to receive everyone wishing to pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
