Sharon Lynn Snyder (Downen)

Sharon Snyder, 65, of Hollywood, SC, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015. She was born on Sunday, June 9, 1949 in Lake Providence, LA a daughter of the late Mary Smith Downen and the late Wendel Downen. She enjoyed working in the yard and playing cards with her kids and grandkids. She was very funny and had a quick sense of humor. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister Wendell Jean Harris. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Thomas P. Snyder of Hollywood, SC; two sons: Jeff Snyder (Julie) of Charleston, SC; Justin Snyder of Johns Island, SC; daughter, Jeni Snyder Branch (Perry) of Valdosta, GA; five grandchildren: Jacob Snyder, Emily Branch, Abigail Branch, William Snyder and Ethan Snyder; one sister, Becky Lensing (Tony) of Lake Providence, LA; one nephew, Pete Lensing; and four nieces: Cali Lensing Stewart, Lori Lensing, Amie Harris Robinson and Stacey Harris Daigle. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 2, 2015, from 5:00pm until time of the memorial service at 6:00pm, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel.
