Servando F. Bugarin, 70, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Born on October 10, 1951 in Pangasinan, Philippines, son of the late Estila Frias Bugarin and the late Geronimo Bugarin.
As a retired lieutenant of the Philippine Air Force, he is known to be a strong, brave, and bold person. Driven by his desire to provide his family better living, he moved to Connecticut, USA, after serving in the military. After a few years, he then moved to South Carolina, USA where his siblings lived and wherein he established his abode. He juggled multiple odd jobs until he managed to be an environmental services provider at Trident Tech Hospital, and eventually retired on year 2018.
He is a family oriented person who supported his immediate family in the Philippines and helped them migrate to the US. Whenever he visits the Philippines, he never fails to check on his roosters as he is a fan of cock fighting in Pangasinan. Further, he loves farming and fishing in the province where he grew up. He definitely loves the smell of fresh air, the ambiance of the greens in the province, and the peace and tranquility that it offers.
As a father, he is generally a provider. He may be strict but he never fails to try to understand his family. He is quiet but observant. He has this great gut feeling that something is off or something is not okay within his family. And when he does sense something, he always expresses concern with trying to fix what is wrong. Even though he was living thousands of miles away from his family with his children growing up, he is always providing them with everything they need, always having a solution to any problem. He might not be able to share his feelings with his family, rest assured that he provided them the best opportunity a father can give.
Besides his parents, Servando is preceded in death by his three brothers, Arthuro Bugarin, Oscar Bugarin and Orlando Bugarin.
Servando is survived by his wife, Marietta Genanda Bugarin; his son, Sermae Jeffrey Bugarin and daughter, Pamela Bugarin; and his grandson/daughter, Angela Ona and Jaden Ona.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Thursday, 26th of May, 2022, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek.
The service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church, 510 St James Ave. in Goose Creek, South Carolina.
