Sean Lee Liggins

Sean Lee Liggins, 58, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024. He was born on February 6, 1966 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania to Saundra L. Grill and Edward L. Liggins.

Sean was a man of many talents and passions. He pursued education with zeal, earning a Master's in Business Administration from Webster's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a minor in Information Technology from Saint Leo College. His dedication to learning reflected his commitment to excellence in all areas of his life.

In addition to his academic achievements, Sean served his country with honor, spending eight years in the United States Air Force and rising to the rank of E-5 Staff Sergeant. He completed a tour in Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm, demonstrating bravery and dedication to his country.

After his military service, Sean excelled in the business world becoming the CEO and owner of Fencon Corporation, which he established in 1999. He retired early in 2018 to spend more time with his beloved family, a decision that reflected his deep love and commitment to those closest to him.

Sean is survived by his parents, Saundra L. Grill and Edward L. Liggins; his sister, LeSauna L. Liggins-Gandy; his two daughters, Kristin Lee Torres-Acevedo and Marissa Nicole Liggins; his two grandchildren, Mckenzie and Sean; and his son-in-law, Matthew Torres-Acevedo, husband of his eldest daughter.

A memorial service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 1:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC, 29445. 

Sean will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of service, dedication, and love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace.
