David Scott Quinn, 48, of Mount Pleasant, husband to Heather Dickinson Quinn, passed away suddenly on August 20, 2021.
Born on June 21, 1973 in Marion, NC, Scott was the son of Gerald David Quinn and the late Sheilah Kaye Wyatt.
Scott grew up in Greenville, SC where he was a graduate of Eastside High School in Taylors, SC. Scott received a Bachelor's of Science degree from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Scott was a member of Grace Cathedral Church in Charleston. He was an employee of Atlantic Packaging, Inc. and worked in the packaging industry for 24 years. Scott received numerous sales awards for his performance. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Scott was passionate about his music and was an avid fisherman and always reveled in his time on the water. Scott's most proud accomplishments were marrying the love of his life, Heather, and being a father to his two beautiful children, Ella Scott and Walker, and many strong lifelong friendships.
He is predeceased by his mother, Sheilah Kaye Wyatt. He is survived by his wife Heather D. Quinn and children Ella Scott and C. Walker Quinn of Mt. Pleasant; and his father Gerald David Quinn and stepmother Karen Granger Quinn of Greenville; and his sister and brother-in-law Anna and Adam Peaks of Greenville, SC and brother Justin Schurtz; and his aunts and uncles include Roger and Gayle Wyatt, Anne and Steve Parks, Susan Quinn, Beth and Johnny Evans, Carol Cross, Iris and Mike Lawing, Becky and Jim Morgan and Great Grandfather Kenneth Rabb of North Carolina; also his mother and father-in-law Henry and Yvonne Dickinson of Mt. Pleasant; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Heidi and Michael Rogge; and nephews Nicholas and Noah all of Cumming, Georgia; and numerous cousins and step family.
The family will receive friends at Grace Church Cathedral, 98 Wentworth Street, Charleston, SC 29401 on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 1:00 pm with service to follow at 2:00 pm .
A reception for family and friends will follow at Hobcaw Yacht Club, 180 Hobcaw Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
