Sara Elizabeth Peagler

Sara Peagler, 83, of Cross, South Carolina went to be with Jesus, Tuesday, November 21, 2017. She was born on September 12, 1934 in Spartanburg, SC to Fred and Blanche (Wheatley) Gosnell. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. She was also devoted to her church and for many years she was dedicated to the care of the cemetery at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Harold Peagler; her son Sonny Peagler (Veronica); daughter Jeanne Leya (Richard); sisters Patricia Gosnell Smith and Melissa Welch; her special niece Esther Gatlin; as well as four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Mount Olivet Baptist Church from 11:00am – 12:00pm. A funeral service and burial will immediately follow.
