Sandra Louise McCain Fountain

Sandra Fountain, 76, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017.
She was born on December 18, 1940, daughter of the late Dorothy Louise Koopman McCain and the late Arthur J. McCain, Sr.
Along with her parents, Sandra is predeceased by her husband, David "Sonny" Fountain, son, Tracy David Fountain, daughter, Terri Louise Murray and her brother, Arthur "Sonny Boy" McCain.
Sandra met and married her husband, Sonny, while spending summer vacation with her family in Cherry Grove, SC. Their family moved to Charleston from Florence in the early 1960s. They would have four children, Tony, Tina, Tracy and Terri, affectionately known as The Four T's.
She was a beautiful, fun-loving, loyal daughter, wife and mother and "MeMe" to her grandson, Sidney.
Sandra was a friend of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Her family is comforted by the words of our Lord in his Sermon on the Mount, "Be full of joy and be glad, because you have a great reward in Heaven." Matthew 5: 12.
She is survived by her son, Tony Mac Fountain of Charleston, SC; and her daughter, Tina (Bob) Hobgood of Charleston, SC and her grandson, Sidney Murray, who has brought great joy and purpose to her life.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 2:00PM - 4:00 PM, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home James Island Chapel, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 100 Cherokee Road, Florence, SC 29501.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Avenue, #504, North Charleston, SC 29406.
