Roy Allen Hall, 83, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016. He was born on Tuesday, January 3, 1933 in Caruthersville, MO, son of the late Daisy Lee Wright Hall and the late Roy B Hall. Roy spent most of his life in Michigan before moving to Franklin, TN and then to Summerville, SC. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War conflict. He was a Firefighter, Captain for 27 years in Redford, MI, and Fire Chief for five years with the City of Plymouth, MI. He was also an Instructor at the Michigan Firefighter Training Academy where he in trained and educated firefighters. He was involved in all aspect of fire service including arson investigation. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jeannine Davis Hall of Summerville, SC; four daughters: Karen Alvear and her husband, Mike, of Bridger, MT; Robin Dahlman and her husband, Rob, of Summerville, SC; Lori Bernell of Billings, MT and Tracy Gilliam and her husband, Dave, of Summerville, SC; ten grandsons: Matthew Reesor (MJ), David Reesor (Bethany), Chris Reesor, Ryan Dahlman (Kelly), Randy Dahlman (Andrea), Andrew Gilliam, Joe Phillips (Rachel), Jacob Phillips, Cody Bernell and Zachary Bernell; two granddaughters: Sarah Gilliam and Kaitlin Gilliam; eleven great-grandchildren: Brandon, Allison, Luke, Collin, Emma, Carter, Isabella, Abigail, Olivia, Justin and Garrett. His greatest joy in life was his family. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, 13, 2016 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM, until the time of the service.
