Rosie Fay Cumbee (Lisenby)

Rosie Fay Cumbee, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, SC entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 8, 2016. She was born on Friday, September 14, 1934 in Montgomery, NC to the late Mrs. Bettie May Lisenby and the late Mr. John F. Lisenby. Rosie graduated from Berkeley High School, married her high school sweetheart and raised three Southern boys. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and playing in the sun. Rosie was a devoted wife, mother and Charter/Active member of East Cooper Baptist Church. Her family remembers her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by Three Sons, Jay L. Cumbee (Donna), of Awendaw, SC, Dale Robert Cumbee (Phyllis), of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Richard Wayne Cumbee, of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren, Lisa, Charles, Jessica, Lee, Adam and Heather; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Phoenix; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and loving husband of 35 years, J.L. Cumbee Jr. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. A Funeral Service will be held at East Cooper Baptist Church on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
