Rosemarie "Rose" Heck

Rosemarie "Rose" Heck, 74, formerly of Brielle, NJ, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at her home in Summerville, SC on February 24, 2021.
Rose was born in Newark, NJ on July 17, 1946 to the late William and Ann (Wandle) Schaedel. She married James Heck on April 26, 1969 and was preparing to celebrate 52 years of marriage. She retired from Brick Public Schools as a Paraprofessional after 25 years serving in various schools in the district.
In retirement, she was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother to her daughters, Kristyn (Doug) Ackerman and Danielle Heck; and grandchildren, Kaelyn and Lucas Ackerman, all of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She loved her "Sweet Pea and Little Man" and spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family.
Surviving, in addition to her loving husband and children, are seven brothers and sisters: Bill (Judy) Schaedel, Morris Plains, NJ; Marianne (Jim) Sheridan, Wall Township, NJ; Barbara Burke, Brick, NJ; Frank (Jane) Schaedel, Basking Ridge, NJ; Elaine (Pat) O'Carroll, Riva, MD; Judy (John) Cooney, Clifton, VA; Carolyn (Dan Wagner) Schaedel, Bluffton, SC; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A Celebration of Life service celebrating Rose's life will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rosemarie`s memory may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
