Rolando C Ventura, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018.
He was born on November 13, 1937 in Cavite City, Philippines, son of the late Telesfora Calapan and the late Bienvenido Ventura.
Rolando was an only child that joined the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He was a wonderful husband and best friend. He was hard working and always putting family first. Rolando was very kind and was loved by many.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents and oldest son Rolando Jr.
Rolando will be missed by his loving wife of ten years, Vivian Matos Ventura of Goose Creek, SC; son, Gaylord, and his wife, Aimee; two step-daughters: Dinah, and her husband, Gerardo; and Frances; grandchildren: Gayla, Ariston, Edj, Jordan, Jasmine, Austin, Gerardo Jr., Serenity, Ashley, Alyssa, Colton, and his fur-kid Sadie.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
