Roger D Anderson

Roger D Anderson, Sr, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, died at Trident Medical Center on February 09, 2021, due to complications from the COVID-19 virus.

Roger was born on June 14, 1930, in Cherry Creek, New York to Carver Adolph Anderson and Roxy Meyer Anderson, the youngest of their nine sons and daughters.

Following graduation from South Dayton High School, Roger served four years in the United States Navy. Thereafter, he was employed with the Charleston Naval Shipyard for thirty years until his retirement. Roger enjoyed working on motorcycles, automobiles, or just about anything that was broken and in need of repair. He also enjoyed woodworking and creating gadgets to use around the house. He earned the nickname "Handy Andy" among his friends and neighbors in Goose Creek. He was the last remaining member of the original City of Goose Creek Town Council.

Roger was predeceased by both parents and his wife, Faith Rusler Anderson. He is survived by his partner, Burcidis "Seedy" Rignal, his son, Roger D Anderson, Jr (Kristy), his daughter, Bonny L Anderson, his grandson Roger D Anderson, III (Diane) and his beloved great-grandchildren.

There will be no public services held.
