Roger Alan Wilson

February 5, 1958 — April 21, 2014

Mr. Roger Alan Wilson, born February 5, 1958 in Weirton, West Virginia to Roger Winslow Wilson and Shirley Ann Tracy Wilson, passed away on April 21, 2014 Roger had a zest and zeal for life, family, love, teaching and was an explorer and adventurer of just about anything. He had a sweet tooth, vanilla ice cream cones in particular. He loved corn on his mashed potatoes and was a great griller, especially steaks and he had a secret recipe for killer garlic mushrooms! He was a fine athlete; he golfed at St Andrews, Scotland and scored in the 70's, he was a scuba diver, football and baseball player, and bike rider in 100 mile treks. He loved boating, jet skiing and he even parachuted out of a plane. He was a physical fitness advocate. His motto: CARPE DIEM (seize the day). He was so proud of his children's accomplishments in karate, ice skating and so much more. Roger did not seek material things as 'value'. His relationships and his faith were the crowning jewels he sought to the very end. He was proud of having his own business and of being a past president of the SC Mortgage Broker’s Association. A graduate of WVU, he received his degree in Finance and Business Administration He has a sense of humor and was laid back, though he worked tirelessly, and played better than most could ever have dreamed. Roger always helped others at his own expense, but was hesitant to ask for anything himself. He has joined up with his old friend Kenny, his Momma, Aunt Carol Jean, Aunt Pat, and grandnephew Jordan. Jordan's 2nd birthday would have been April, 21st, and he got to celebrate with him in Heaven. Roger Never Gave Up!!!! He left behind his beloved children, Jerry (23), Roger (20), and Blaze (19); his sisters, Nancy Wilson of Charleston and Judy Wilson of Mount Pleasant, and his brother, Rick Wilson of Richardson, Texas; nieces, Tracy Wilson of Charleston and Emily Wilson of Richardson; nephews, Tyler Wilson of Charleston and Eric Wilson of Richardson; his aunt, Sally Tracy of Sunnyvale, California; his uncle, Lou Wilson and his wife Nora of Houston, Texas; cousins, Debby Jones of Harrisburg, PA, Randy Livingston of Havelock, NC, Donna Fotos and her husband Strat of Huntington, WV, Kim Yurko and her husband Tony of Cumberland, MD, David Livingston and his wife Terri of Bridgeport, WV, Linda Wendle of Gainesville, VA, Levi Livingston and his wife Carmen of Huntington, WV, Sharon Yeago of High Springs, FL, Carrie Burow and her husband Heiko of Coppell, TX, and Terri Yeago of Coral Springs, FL.
