Rodolfo Flores Ventanilla, “Rudy” 78, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017
Rudy was born in Lingayen Philippines to the late Andres and Felisa Flores Ventanilla.
Rudy retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service. He was a chief petty officer, and also enjoyed cooking. Rudy loved fishing, crabbing, dancing, singing, and shopping. He was always quick to lend a hand and help others in need. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. His family will remember his loving smile, his giggles, and his sense of humor.
Rudy is survived by four daughters; Janice Browder, Faye Christiansen, Bobbie Jo Lawton and Felisa Hall; sister, Bendi De Guzman; very special granddaughter, Tabitha Scott. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane Ventanilla.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. Masonic Rites will be at 7:00 PM at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the All Saints Chapel at the Naval Weapons Station, 707 Chapel Drive, Goose Creek.
His burial will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Monday September 25, 2017 at 12:00 PM.
