Robin Lee Joyner (Islip)

Robin Islip Thomas Joyner, 64, of Charleston died on Monday, March 3, 2014 in Mt Pleasant, SC. She was born on Saturday, April 9, 1949 in Richmond, VA to Lucy Coffey Islip and the late George William Islip. Robin was strong-willed, quick-witted and loved laughing with friends and family. She loved to garden, loved knitting and sewing and quickly befriended all that she met. She enjoyed genealogy and loved connecting with her Newfoundland family. She absolutely cherished being Gee-Gee to her granddaughter, Sutton. She is survived by her daughter, Blake Thomas Chastain (Phillip) and her granddaughter, Sutton Chastain each of Mt Pleasant; her mother Lucy Coffey Islip and her brother George Islip (Jane) each of Richmond, VA. She was predeceased by her father, George William Islip, her brother Jack Islip (Pat) and her sister June Woodcock (Stuart), all of Richmond, VA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464.
