Roberto Eclevia Espia

Roberto Eclevia Espia, age 67, of Ladson, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015. He was born September 30, 1947 in the Philippines to the late Feleciano Espia and the late Norberta Espia. Roberto enjoyed reading his daily newspaper and watching the news. He liked to stay up to date on current affairs in the Philippines. He was a thoughtful husband, caring father, and loving grandfather. Roberto loved to visit the Philippines to see his family. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Victoria Espia; daughters, Joan Espia and her husband Rodel Echipare and Nova Espia; sons, Eric Espia and his wife Michelle and Roque Espia; grandchildren, James Adrian Espia, Christian Espia, Stephanie Espia, and Alexander Espia; siblings, Julita Yabut, Jovita Eclarino, Carmelita Espinosa, Feliciano Espia, and Elsa Yamamoto; and many extended family and friends in the United States and Philippines. Roberto is predeceased by Josefina Atayan, Adela Reyes, and Lucia De Padua. Immediate family will receive extended family and friends on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home Goose Creek Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May, 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
