Roberta Lee Rothchild

Roberta L. Rothchild, 70, of Linconville, died January 6, 2015. Born in Sevierville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hazel Akins. Roberta enjoyed fishing, telling jokes and being with her family. She loved to laugh and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Rothchild of Mankoto, Kansas; son, Jay Wheeler and wife Jeannie of Ladson; two daughters, Kathy Hill and husband Gregg of Lebanon and Kelly Douglas and fiancé Shawn Quirk of Summerville; brother, Robert T. Akins of Summerville; two sisters, Hazel Pitchers of Summerville and Debbie Mitchell of Cottageville; eight grandchildren Berlin Wheeler, Mandy Lynn Blanchard, Dakota Jordan, Ridge Jordan, Robert Douglas, Skyler Douglas, Kayla Douglas and Danielle Birzer; great grandchildren, Bently Douglas and Hailey Blanchard. Roberta was predeceased by her son, Robert Wheeler. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. The family will receive friends prior to service from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
