Roberta "Bobbi" Bremer Aquino, 71, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018.
She was born on September 20, 1947 in Hickory, NC, daughter of the late Rose Mary Huffman Hardy and the late Hubert Hardy.
Bobbi was an outstanding woman, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her beach side home in North Myrtle Beach- sitting on her bed drinking her diet Pepsi, “getting small” and working puzzles - crossword and sudoku more recently. When she wasn’t home, she and Rick would travel across America in their RV- visiting family, friends and almost every state in the USA. She was a consummate cook, making the best turkey and dressing and for keeping the family recipes. She would make dozens of “secret recipe” cheese straws to send family and friends at the holidays. She loved the holidays, decorating and collecting numerous Santa figurines of all shapes and sizes all year round. As a profession, she was a talented seamstress and interior designer for many homes throughout SC. Many of her projects reside in her own home and children’s homes will provide warm memories.
Per her twin brother, “Bobbi was an outstanding basketball player as a teenager”- outscoring him regularly. She is known to watch whichever sports’ program that was in season- especially Gamecock football and Nascar racing. Considered an excellent dancer, said to have perfected the “Shag”- she loved watching Dancing with the Stars; loved music-especially Willie Nelson songs and often could be found as an armchair judge of American Idol and The Voice.
Bobbi had a remarkable sense of humor, she loved to share a story or opinion on a topic. Best of all, she had a very generous heart, giving her love abundantly to her family and friends. No one will ever fill the void left by her passing but we hope memories of her will keep the stories alive and love flourishing in us all. Thank you Bobbi/ Mom for loving us so much!
Along with her parents, Bobbi is preceded in death by Rose Mary Roseback and brother in law John Roseback of Pensacola, FL.
She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Richard L. Aquino of North Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Brian Bremer and son in law Jeffrey Umberger of Atlanta, GA; Kimberly Aquino of Charleston, SC; son Joe Bremer, Jr. and grandsons Brian Bremer Jr. and Owen Bremer of Cincinnati, OH; daughter Kristen Aquino, son in law Billy Osborn and grandson Milo Osborn of Asheville, NC; Her twin brother Joe Hardy, sister in law Judy Hardy, niece, Laura Hardy Back, her husband Lyle Back, great nieces Clara Back and Rose Mary Parker Back; and niece Katherine Roseback Alligood, of Atlanta, GA.
