Robert Ernest Parker

Mr. Robert Ernest Parker, 76, of West Columbia, SC, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, after a courageous battle with pneumonia.

Born on April 5, 1947 in Battle Creek, MI, he was the son of the late Viola Parker (Parkin) and Roy C. Parker. 

Robert was a SFC for the United States Army for 22 years and received the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Non-commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon.

Robert is survived by his children, Roy Parker, Lisa Vines, and Jamie Parker.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, SC with Full Military Honors accorded.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
