Robert James McHugh ("Mac")

Robert James McHugh (“Mac”), 79 of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Born on May 14, 1943, in Worcester, MA he was the son of the late Ruth (Reynolds) and Henry McHugh.

Robert was a proud “Papa” who loved his granddaughters. He loved to walk on the beach and swim in the ocean, watch the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, and cheer at his granddaughters’ sporting events.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by siblings Carol, Ruth, Patricia, and Joan.

Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda (Swenson), daughter Erin and her husband James White of Worcester, MA, daughter Kerry and her husband Craig Leach of Mt. Pleasant, SC, granddaughters Regan, Tatum and Rory Leach of Mt. Pleasant, SC., and brother Kevin McHugh of Auburn, MA.

Services will be private.
