Robert Lee Goddard

Robert Lee Goddard (Bob), 66, of Charleston, SC, died peacefully at home Sunday, June 18, 2017. He was born in Reading, PA, to the late James Bloomfield and Leanore Gates Goddard.
A devoted father, he is survived by his sons, Andrew, Bryan, and Chandler; grandchildren, Hunter and Faith; siblings, James B. (Nancy), Kathryn Hester (John), and Mark, along with six nieces, two nephews and three great-nieces Bob was a sports enthusiast (especially baseball), an avid golfer, student of history, and music lover. He was dearly loved by his family and wide circle of friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 22, at 2:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, James Island Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA, 23060-9979 or online at www.heart.org.
