Lewis Lancaster

Lewis Lancaster, 82, of Ladson, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

Born on November 11, 1942 in Fountain Inn, SC, Lewis was a son of the late Mildred and Leon Lancaster.

Lewis Graduated from Hillcrest High School. He met the love of his life, Eileen and married in 1967. Lewis graduated from Charleston Southern University (Formerly Baptist College) in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He was an entrepreneur and enjoyed being his own boss. He owned and ran Port-O-Let of Charleston SC for many years. From there, he began a Matco Tool business and successfully ran that business until retirement. After retirement he volunteered his time to deliver blood for the Red Cross. He was an excellent Husband, Father and Papa. He loved riding his Goldwing motorcycle. He especially loved taking his six grandsons for short little rides on the motorcycle. He also loved being involved in their life and going not only to sporting events, but practices as well. Lewis also loved fishing, tooling around in his boat, and telling “Dad jokes”. One of his greatest joys was making people laugh. He was terrific at loving those around him. He loved well, and will be greatly missed.

Lewis is preceded in death by his parents Leon and Mildred Lancaster.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 58 years Eileen Lancaster, his two daughters Janie Smith (Jimmy Smith), Lori Clodfelter(Geoffrey Clodfelter), Six Grandsons Bryce Smith, Garrett Smith, Landon Smith, Eli Clodfelter, Oliver Clodfelter, and Alex Clodfelter, and two great grandsons Hudson and Rhett Smith. He is also survived by a brother Jimmy Lancaster (June) and a sister Nancy Goodwin (Randy)

The family will receive friends on February 15th at 2pm at Grace Fellowship Church 100 Kathryn Dr, Goose Creek, SC 29445. Service immediately follows at 3pm. The burial will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery at 3715 Azalea Dr, North Charleston, SC 29405.
