Robert Harold Ashe, 77, of Ladson, died, Thursday, April 6, 2017.
Born in Haywood County, NC, he was the son of late Roy and Ethel Cogdill Ashe and husband to Linda Sexton Ashe. Robert was a United States Navy Veteran and also worked as a North Carolina State Trooper. Eventually making Charleston his home, he worked as a Civil Engineer for Charleston County. Mr. Ashe enjoyed bowling, woodworking and was dedicated to landscaping his home, his families homes and his church. He was an avid learner and enjoyed fixing things around the house. Robert was an active member of Carnes Crossroads Church of God.
Survivors include his wife Linda Ashe; son, Scott Ashe and his wife Terri of Goose Creek; grandchildren, Joshua Wiggins and Jamie Venzie and husband Joe; great-grandchildren, Lucian, Aidric, Eden and Myra; sister, Sue Kelly of Raleigh North Carolina; brothers, Bruce Ashe of Cross and Steve Ashe of Moncks Corner.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Carnes Crossroads Church of God, 1341 State Rd, Summerville, SC, 29483. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Berkeley Memorial Gardens with military honors.
