Robert Franklyn 'Bobby' Peyser Jr.

Robert 'Bobby' Franklyn Peyser Jr., 57, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015. He was born on Friday, February 14, 1958, in Kew Gardens, NY, to the late Marie Mercedes Peyser and the late Robert Franklyn Peyser Sr. Bobby attended Schreiber High School in Port Washington, NY. He was a custodian for many years, and worked in the heating and air business, as well as a contractor in the construction business. Bobby was an avid Yankees baseball and Giants football fan. He enjoyed fishing, animals and playing catch with his daughter. Bobby had a great sense of humor. His family will remember him as a wonderful, devoted father and a loving brother. Besides his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Peyser. He is survived by his daughter, Melody Leeann Peyser of Charleston, SC; his brother, John Peyser and his wife, Celsa, of Wantagh, NY; one aunt, Cathy Sommers and her husband, John, of Boston, MA; Melody’s mother, Leigh McMillan, of Moncks Corner, SC; and a number of cousins. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10, 2015, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist School of Charleston Scholarship Fund, 48 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
