Rita Mae Wilderson, 83, of Moncks Corner SC, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Born in Farris, OK, daughter to the late Odes and Lena Pool and wife to the late Laurence Wilderson. Rita loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing; and most interestingly, was a bow hunter. However, she also liked to quilt and have tea. She enjoyed spending time with all the children in her family. She had opened up her home to those who didn’t have a home. She was everyone’s mom. Ms. Wilderson was a Baptist and attended Smyrna Methodist Church. She is survived by her four daughters, Laura Huffingham and husband Kenneth of Moncks Corner SC, Sherrie Wiggins of Moncks Corner SC, Terry Galyon and husband Carl of Jefferson City, TN and Dixie Hopper and husband Phillip of Muskogee, OK; two sons, Laurence William Wilderson and his wife Edna of Moncks Corner, SC and Odes “Spud†Wilderson and wife Fran of Silver City, NM. Mrs. Wilderson is also survived by forty six grand children, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Laurence Wilderson and her son, Jack O’Neal Wilderson. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 26, 2016 2:00 p.m. in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery.
