Rita Lois Brewer

Rita Lois Brewer, 84, of North Charleston, died Tuesday August 2, 2016. Born in Aiken, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Alvie and Sylva Mae Ford and wife to the late Thomas William Brewer, Sr. Rita worked in food service at the Naval Weapons Station and Air Force Base. She was an active member at Deer Park Baptist Church, where she was involved in the Women’s Ministry. Rita is survived by her daughter, Wanda Yantek and husband Robert of Columbia, SC; sons, Thomas W. Brewer, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Moncks Corner and Joey Brewer and his wife Sonia of Goose Creek; brothers, Harold (Rachel) Ford and Bud (Mary Fey) Ford, both of Aiken. Mrs. Brewer is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
