Richard Wayne Adkins

Richard Wayne Adkins, 71, of Moncks Corner, passed away March 18, 2017.

Born in Beelick Knob, WV, he was the son of the late Jonie Adkins and Evelyn Samples Rush and husband to the late Mary Adkins. .

Richard was the proud owner and operator with his wife of Adkins Grocery in Moncks Corner. He loved fishing and camping with his wife and family.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Linda Sutton and husband Johnnie of Summerville and Sylvia English and husband Grady Elam of Moncks Corner; sister, Mildred Love of North Carolina. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twenty two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
