Richard Q. Lynch, 57, of Mt. Pleasant SC, passed away, Monday, November 6, 2017. Born February 26, 1960 in Akron, OH to the late Thomas (Tom) and Marjorie Lynch.
Born February 26, 1960, in Akron, Ohio, to Thomas (Tom) and Marjorie Lynch, he attended Canton Central Catholic High School and was a member of St. Michael’s parish. Rick grew up on Lake Cable in Canton where he participated in many memorable picnics, reunions, and parties with his numerous friends and family. As the youngest of five children, Rick helped manage the family businesses, Bi-Rite Marker and Alisa Florist. In 1988, Rick moved to Charleston where he established Coastal Carolina Construction and built many residential homes throughout the Charleston area. Rick, known for his fun-loving nature and devotion to his children, loved to golf and spend time with his friends and family. He was the greatest of story-tellers and you could usual found him sporting a four-leaf clover on a hat or T-shirt to embrace his Irish heritage.
He is survived by his four children, eldest son Keegan Lynch, daughter Jamison Lynch, and sons Liam and Aidan Lynch; siblings Maureen Lynch (Richard), Lisa Sweeney (Thomas), Thomas A. Lynch (Diane), and Stephanie Welsh (Michael).
A Memorial Mass will held Saturday, November 11th at 10:00 AM at Stella Maris Catholic Church 1204 Middle St, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482. Friends and family are invited to join us at Morgan Creek Bar and Grill on Isle of Palms proceeding the ceremony.
