Richard J Piskurich, 77, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died on Friday, February 27, 2015. He was born on Tuesday, November 30, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Mrs. Mary Rubinich and the late Mr. Nicholas Piskurich. Richard served in the U.S. Army for three years and then began a career of more than 33 years as a conductor for CSX Railroad. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grand children. Richard was a member of the Millvale, PA VFW, a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church of Charleston, SC and St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church of Millvale, PA. His family remembers him as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sylvia Goyak Piskurich, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and one daughter, Mary Ann Gruber (Ben), of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two grand children, Douglas and William Gruber, and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Nicholas Piskurich, of Pittsburgh, PA. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St Nicholas Catholic Church, 24 Maryland Ave. Millvale, PA 15209, at 10 AM.
