Richard Dennis Guerard

Richard Dennis Guerard, 80 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Born on February 12, 1943 in Savannah, GA, Richard was a son of the late Annie Laurie Guerard (Connor) and William Guerard.

Richard was very dedicated to his Christian faith and loved staying in the Word of God and sharing it with others through both online and in person Bible Studies. He was a constant encourager to all that he came to know. He also enjoyed golfing with friends along with boating and fishing. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren, being involved in everything they did.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, William and Annie Laurie Guerard. 

Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jane Merritt Guerard, daughter, Katherine (Kevin) Rast, granddaughter, Merritt Rast, grandson, G. Coleman Rast, son, Richard D. Guerard, Jr. and daughter, Annie Laurie Guerard.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Christ Church Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, SC at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Andrews Anglican Church, 440 Whilden Street, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
